Last day
Sunday, August 28, 2005
Actually it was the last official day, but the mood was already set. A bit gushed down by sentiments, especially when I am done reviewing the thick stack of papers that is our class magazine, laying placidly on the shelve. I guess I will find some other way to bind it other than the usual method, because I suspect some of the words on the edges will be marginalised. It's a wierd feeling on friday, lazing about, taking photos, talking like we used to when we were in J1 or first three months. Perhaps it's because I haven't felt the impending dread of leaving this place, something that have caught my other classmates like an unconstrained virus. It's not as though I haven't been expecting this day, after reading a senior Xiya's blog last year probably at this point in time, when it was THEIR last day. But now, it's ours. Officially, that is. But all the same, no more common breaks, no more lessons, tutorials and slacking about waiting for lessons to commence, especially on tuesdays, and of course, no more PE, which we have only come to enjoy this term after temporarily failing to see its significance since early this year. But it's good that we finally cherished the two periods per week of game, even though it's Captain's Ball, but it's still a class game.
Most memorable was Kang Hao's message I received on Friday night. Apparently it's the first time I received something I can consider to be rather sentimental and nostalgic from Kang Hao, of all people. No offence but I was pretty jolted. But it just shows how strong the warmth was there and then, and how it will continue to envelop us.
Then Saturday was PC CIP. Wont go into the details except that I was damn shagged looking after a bunch of kids who left me at my wits end. Since when did kids at that age behave like that? Anyway, it was then it struck me that one year has passed. This time last year I was already close to wrapping up the nurturing programme and emceeing for MAF. But now... wow, it just amazes me how time has flied. Ziqian, Jinghan and Terence came back, and so did she. Was rather surprised to see the latter. Probably mugging in the library. So after the thing ended, went to eat with ZQ and as usual chatted about anything that came to our minds.
One thing remains, "Two years can change a person, by alot."
